Before and After

For the past two weeks one project has been occupying far too much room in my mind but with my images finally completed i thought it would be rude not to share them.

The theme is passage of time, i have been looking at different eras, their make up and how the era changed and empowered women, which is shown by the writing on the lips.

Fourties/ Fifties= Fight

Sixties= Liberation

Eighties= Power

These are my completed images:

I have also included the original images for you to see as these three images are the most worked on i have produced for a while.

Model: Rebecca Mitchell
Make- up: Lisa Duong

It's all about the concept...

So me and my good friend from back home Fran decided to collaborate on a project together. In essence...her concept/ idea with my photographic twist. We wanted to take the cliche theme of Rock Chick to a new level. So with help from the lovely Laura Walton (MUA) and Alice as the model we bought our ideas to life.

These are just a couple of the images from todays shoot.

P.s. A special thank you must go to Heather Woodburn for the loan of her home built lighting rig!

Is Fashion Furever?

Doing a project on real fur, the whole subject fascinates me to no end! The media once again sticks its oar in and takes an archaic trade and turn the general public against it. The public (mainly daily mail readers i would imagine) follow blindly the words written without being truly informed.

Anyway these are images from my first visit to a Furriers. I hope to explore the subject further and will post more photos in due course.

Enjoy! S x

Square Eyes

The idea: Come up with a protest and then produce an image which shows what will happen if we ignore our chosen protest issue.

I chose to look at the issue of digital media. Don't get me wrong i love new technology but i believe there is no better feeling than flicking through a magazine/ book just physically touching paper and looking at the image in front of you.

So here is my image...what will happen to us if we constantly use digital media...we will get square eyes.

Photography/ Retouching: Myself

Is this Still Life?

I invested in a table top studio and accompanied with one speedlight i "creatively experimented" with a perfume bottle and a lipstick. I was amazed at how this one light could produce such epic results.

Seeing as i was rather short of interesting objects to photographs i only have these two examples of work to put up. Eitherway I quite like them and i definitely want to develop my still life further!

Enjoy!
